Candle fundraiser: a huge success!

The recently held fundraiser for the class trip to Washington, D.C. was a huge success.
The students worked diligently on Friday to inventory, sort, fill and distribute the candle orders. I am so proud of the spirit of teamwork and cooperation that prevailed in our classroom.
The students would like to thank each of you who purchased a pie candle. Your purchase brought them closer to their goal of raising funds for the special trip to our nation's capital in the spring. Once again, many, many thanks!

Friday, Pie Candle Day!!! The sixth grade classroom was transformed to a candle factory when our candles arrived. A sea of little white pastry boxes filled the room as well as the wonderful scents of apple, pumpkin, spiced cranberry and other seasonal smells.

It was a picture perfect day for the students of grades 5 and 6 as they pose in front of the lake at Whitehouse Farm.
